MacroZak ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website and dashboard.

Using MacroZak means we process information as described here. Where the law requires a separate consent (for example, optional emails or non-essential cookies), we will ask for it.

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (via Clerk)
• Subscription and billing information: plan tier, subscription status, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and payment-related metadata processed by Stripe
• Usage and device information: pages viewed, features used, browser type, IP address, and similar technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service
• Portfolio holdings you add (symbols, shares, prices, optional cost basis), stored in your Clerk account and, if the book is large, in Upstash Redis
• Watchlist symbols and UI preferences stored in your browser localStorage
• Custom stress scenarios, Crossfire history, email-delivery ledgers, and compact product-event counts stored in Clerk private metadata
• Holdings context sent to Anthropic when generating a briefing or Crossfire memo
• Communications: messages you send us, such as support requests

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate users and enforce subscription access
• Process payments and manage billing through Stripe
• Send service-related messages (account, billing, morning brief, and Crossfire alerts)
• Monitor performance, prevent abuse, and protect security
• Comply with legal obligations

We use trusted providers to operate MacroZak. These providers process data on our behalf according to their own policies:

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to run the Service or when required by law.

• Clerk — authentication and user account management
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Resend — transactional and service email delivery
• Anthropic — server-side generation of briefing and Crossfire copy from your holdings context
• Upstash Redis — optional overflow storage when a portfolio exceeds Clerk metadata limits, and same-day Geo Portfolio Brief cache so a new tab does not regenerate Claude copy
• GitHub Actions — scheduled job runner that triggers server-side email crons
• Market data providers — quotes, search, and EOD from Tiingo when configured
• Marketaux — news headlines for geo, pulse, and briefing evidence

If you subscribe to a paid plan, we may send service emails (morning brief and Crossfire alerts) to a verified address on your account until you disable them.

You can turn emails off in Settings or via the unsubscribe link in each message. We do not send product emails to addresses that are not verified on your account.

We and our providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session management, preferences, and security.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using paid features.

We retain account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

You can export or delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account cancels active Stripe subscriptions and removes your Clerk profile and stored portfolio data. Stripe may retain billing records as required for tax and payment compliance.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing.

You can download a copy of your MacroZak data and delete your account in Settings. You can also update account details through your profile, manage email preferences in Settings, and cancel subscriptions through the Stripe billing portal.

To exercise privacy rights, use Settings or contact macrozaksupport@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Our providers (including Clerk, Stripe, Vercel, Resend, and Anthropic) may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access MacroZak from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

MacroZak is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact macrozaksupport@gmail.com and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version.
